Clubs

Pioneer offers a variety of student organizations designed to build leadership skills and reinforce
program knowledge.


BPA

Business Professionals of America
is a youth organization for students enrolled in programs related to business and office education. Students can actively campaign for local, regional, state and national offices. Members compete at BPA events in occupation-oriented contests such as office skills as well as contests that measure personal involvement and growth. State contest winners advance to compete at the national level.

DECA
DECA is an association for marketing students and focuses on marketing, management and entrepreneurship skills. This organization helps students develop skills for marketing careers, build self-esteem, and provides leadership and community service opportunities. Students compete by demonstrating skills such as selling, advertising development, and marketing research. Members are involved in planning sales projects, chapter activities and district and state functions.

FCCLA
Family, Career & Community Leaders of America
is the organization associated with the Early Childhood Education program. Members develop leadership by competing in skills events, running for local office, working on committees and completing individual and group projects.

FEA
Future Educators Association is for students in the Teaching Professions program. This organization encourages students interested in a teaching career to set education/career goals early in life, focus on academic achievement and explore teaching through direct experience in a classroom. Students have the opportunity to enter competitions at the state level, serve as a chapter delegate at the Annual Delegate Assembly and run for FEA state level offices.

FFA
Future Farmers of America is a youth organization for students enrolled in agricultural programs.
Through competitive events, students learn to sharpen their talents in many areas including livestock judging, land and soil judging, floral arranging, tree and seed selection and meat inspection. Students also gain experience in leadership, public speaking and parliamentary procedures.

HOSA

Health Occupations Students of America is an organization for students enrolled in our Health Academy programs as well as the Exercise Science - Sport Medicine Program. The organization focuses on leadership skills, professional networking, community service, and promoting all aspects of health care within our communities. Members are involved specialty organizations, local chapter activities, Ohio Leadership Conferences, and skills/knowledge competitions at multiple levels across the United State. 

SkillsUSA
Students enrolled in programs related to Health and Human Services, Industry and Engineering belong to SkillsUSA. The major focus of this organization is leadership. Maturity, self-esteem and a positive attitude are also stressed. Students have the opportunity to seek office and participate in local, regional, state and national competitions. The competitive events allow business and industry to work with the students to test their skills and leadership competencies.

Student Council
Pioneer’s chapter is a member of the Ohio Association of Student Councils (OASC). The purpose of this organization is to develop a path of communication among the student body, faculty and administration. This group also sponsors recreational and social activities for the entire school and promotes high standards of ethics, work and social relationships necessary for responsible citizenship.
