Who is behind the mask at Pioneer? Officier John Magers is the Pioneer Resource Officer. As he begins his third year at Pioneer, he is celebrating his 24th year with the Shelby Police Department. Officier Magers works to ensure safety within the school while also building a rapport with the students and staff.

He is doing a great job coordinating the serving of breakfasts and lunches in both the arena and cafeteria to ensure social distancing. The USDA recently extended Free Breakfast and Free Lunch for every student from September 17, 2020 until December 31, 2020. Who is Behind the Mask at Pioneer? Mrs. Little is the Attendance Secretary at Pioneer. Her office is busy every day! If your student is going to be out or needs to leave early, Mrs. Little is the one to call. She is often checking in students, writing early release or excused absence slips, issuing parking permits or printing ids for students-so be sure to leave her a message!
The USDA recently extended Free Breakfast and Free Lunch for every student from September 17, 2020 until December 31, 2020. What does this mean to your Pioneer student? It means that:
1. Each student may receive one free breakfast and one free lunch
daily.
2. This is in effect until 12/31/20 or revoked by USDA.
3. No application is needed, however, beginning on 01/01/21 a new
application must be submitted and approved to receive free or
reduced lunches.
4. Students may choose any of the offered meals.

Who is Behind the Mask at Pioneer? Mr. Haymaker is the Pioneer Distribution Center Coordinator. The Distribution Center receives all shipments and inventories them including all the supplies needed for the 35 Pioneer Career Tech labs and academic classes. Distribution also collects student fees and invoices for work done in our labs!
Mrs Fighter's Employability class at Pioneer is learning job skills like pace, organization, multi step directions and understanding the importance of volunteer work helping the United Fund of Shelby with their mailing campaign.
